I started shooting about two years ago; I just moved up here from California and wanted to get the rundown of my new home and state in terms of firearms safety. I also wanted to get some pointers from a true professional on how to shoot better and be more familiar confident with my handgun. I had no Idea I was going to get such a great instructor. Vern is the best! His instructions are clear and direct and he is always active to help answer any questions. I especially love his facilitation style as he has a vast amount of relevant professional/life experience and I found the course to have a lot of natural “teachable” moments. My daughter and I completed the basic training class in January. It was a great class for us newbies. Lorraine and Her husband Vern keep the class interesting and shared personal stories that related to what we were learning. My 21 year old daughter loved the class as well and feels much more educated in how to safely handle a firearm. We both used 22’s at the shooting range that we rented from Lorraine and Vern. I need a lot more practice in the aiming department, but it was a good introduction on how to safely handle and operate a firearm. I would recommend this class to beginners.

I took Ladies-Only Basic Pistol Training. This was a great class to understand basic things about handling the pistol. I had done some recreational shooting in the past, but mostly relied on others to load my gun and handle anything other than the actual firing of the weapon. In this class I learned basic safety, elements of the gun and cartridges, techniques and much more. The instructors were very engaged and entertaining, and made the day zip by. I really enjoyed the hands-on application at the end of the day. I am looking forward to taking an advanced class in the future.
